I recently had the chance to chat with the folks at ForConstructionPros Digging Deeper podcast about what’s happening in the world of asphalt and soil compaction. We covered a lot of ground, from the challenges contractors are facing right now to where we see technology taking things in the future.

One of the big topics I discussed with Brandon Noel, the editor of Asphalt Contractor magazine, was the labor situation — finding and keeping good operators is a real issue. We also got into how new tech, like autonomous equipment and data tools, can help make jobs more efficient. And for those who might not be up to speed, we talked about how intelligent compaction is changing how we train and support operators on site.

If you run asphalt rollers or soil compactors, or if you’re just curious about where compaction in our industry is headed, this 18-minute podcast is worth a listen. Check it out.
